The positive cases, found from 8,431 people tested for coronavirus in the last twenty-four hours, bring the confirmed total to 471, 879, says the ministry of health In its report today.
The Ministry added only 13 new recoveries in the same period. Recovery tally now stands at 455, 845.
One severely sick Covid-19 patients has been admitted to hospital on Thursday as the severe cases total increases to 13.
The patients are among the 8, 519 confirmed active cases in the country.
The Ministry says no Covid-induced fatality has been reported in the past 24-hours. The death toll tally stands at 7, 513.
The vaccination pace has not remained stagnant with today’s report confirming no progress.
Ethiopia has administered close to 29.45mln doses of the Covid-19 vaccine since authorities offered the first vaccine shot to the public in March, 2021.
More than 24.5 million people are also fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
