The ambassador held the discussion today with Kazumasa Kimura, Executive Officer for New Business Development Africa Division COO of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Hiroumi Ohara, Manager of power and infrastructure group of Africa Division.
In a statement the embassy said Ambassador Tefera briefed the Investment opportunities, incentives, investment policies, to the Toyota Tsusho Corporation officials.
The ambassador has also spoken about the competitive advantages in the manufacturing, energy, and pharmaceuticals sector in Ethiopia.
Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a trading arm of the Toyota Group, markets automobiles, trucks, steel products, industrial machinery, chemical products, and energy in both domestic and overseas markets.
Speaking to the company’s reps, the Ethiopian envoy has called the company to invest in Car assembly, fertilizer production, pharmaceuticals, and energy generation among others.
Kazumasa Kimura, on his part, explained Toyota Tsusho’s initiatives in Africa and highlighted its activities in Ethiopia in the mobility and energy sector.
The Executive officer has also expressed the corporation’s intention to expand energy sector investment in Ethiopia, as part of its initiative in Africa, according to the Ethiopian embassy’s statement.
