Job Description

General Job Description: Monitoring, Processing and Executing all necessary daily, monthly and annual financial transactions and accounting tasks as per detailed tasks schedule below.

DETAILS JOB DESCRIPTION  

Core activities and obligations the Senior accountant II is responsible for include ( but not limited to) the following: 

SALES MANAGEMENT:

  • Daily Checking and approval of Sales orders from sales and marketing department.
  • Monthly reconcile the Sales as per ledger with the Z-Report summery which has been reported to the tax office.

STOCK CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT:

  • Monitor stocks incomings of both Pharmaceutical & Non Pharmaceutical Item to the warehouses from incoming    shipments, and process the Process Goods Receiving Notes (GRN) by communicating with the store keepers &recording the quantity received on Peachtree and enter data into Peachtree.
  • Monitor and reconcile Pharmaceuticals company’s stocks counts in all warehouses with stock keeper(s) on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Efficiently filing and safely securing all original Good Receipt Notes and the original Good Receiving Notes pads.

PAYMENTS MANAGEMENT:

  • Prepare cost build up Summery sheet for all the imported goods and close to the stock account
  • Efficiently filing and safely securing the originals of all import original shipments files (classers) and their related documents, receipts, and banks’ advices.
  • Monitor and making sure to receive all supporting documents and complete clearance of all issued Payments ( receipts, invoices, agreements, advices ,etc)
  • Record, Schedule follow-up, and timely process all company’s monthly, periodically and annual due payment.
  • Efficiently filling and safely securing the originals of all payments vouchers, payments vouchers pads, all payments original supporting documents, AND all import of original shipments files (Classers) and their related documents ,receipts, and bank advices.
  • Preparing monthly payroll, transport, and mobile and payment sheets.

BANKS RELATIONS:

  • Making sure to receive original monthly banks statements from all banks Reconciling it with the book, and efficiently filing and safely securing the same.
  • Making sure to receive original banks deduction and credit advices, shipments banks’ permits and related advices/letters; and efficiently filing and safely securing the same.

RECEIVALBES

  • Producing weekly report on sales uncollected

OTHER ACCOUNTING ASSISTANCE:

  • Assist external Auditors with an information & document they require during their time of Audit
  •   Whenever necessary and required/requested, assist the financial manager and other colleagues in the same department of all and any other financial matters and processing of any other un-indicated financial transactions.

Term of reference:  6 months contract to be renewed based on performance

Job Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (ESSENTIAL QUALITIES OF SKILLS REQUIRED)

  • Excellent organizational and Prioritization skills, and attention  to detail, ability to establish work relation among his/her staff or team in the highest professional team spirit.
  • Holistic understanding of the business operations, inter-relationships and dependencies and the role of the financial control department with respect to these.
  • Well organized reporting system and demonstrated excellent  self-management skill and practices:
  • Advance finance and accounting knowledge, including experience with international financial Reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Good Knowledge and experience on accounting software such as Peachtree Accounting which is mandatory to be selected as  candidate
  • Good Presentation ,analytical and problem-solving skills as well as ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills of English and Amharic
  • To follow and abide to the company’s guidelines, regulations, rules and codes as well as to your departments’ and activities procedures.

  • B.A Accounting and Finance

Experience:             

  • Minimum 7 years work experience
