State-run Ethio Telecom’s annual revenue rose by 8.5 percent to 61.3 billion Birr in the 2021/22 fiscal year that ended on June 7.
The figure, however, is 80 percent of the company planned to get during the fiscal year, its CEO Frehiwot Tamiru told reporters.
The CEO, however, said the telecom company was able to achieve the target to increase customers.
Ethiopia telecom’s subscribers have now reached 66 million, up by 2 million from the target set for the year.
