Awash Bank Share Company (S.C.) and the Information Network Security Agency (INSA) signed an agreement to work on the protection of cyber security services.
The agreement will enable Awash Bank to get protection for its information infrastructures from cyber-attacks; while the bank will provide financial supports to the overall national cyber security services provided by INSA.
The agreement has been signed on Tuesday between Tsehay Shiferaw, CEO of Awash Bank and Shumetie Gizaw (PhD), Director General of INSA.
Tsehay mentioned the efforts exerted by INSA to protect the financial and other key sectors of Ethiopia from cyber-attacks.
“Financial supports have been made by Awash Bank to further ensure continuity of the services,” Tsehay said.
Shumetie said for his part that INSA has been working with various institutions to ensure cyber security.
