Ministry says over 40 investors to enter Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park

Ministry of Industry has disclosed on Monday that 42 businesses and private developers are going to enter the Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park (BIAIP).

The firms have expressed their readiness to join the Park.

The Park, sprawled over 271 hectares of land in Western Oromia, has been fully equipped with the necessary infrastructures and facilities to accommodate 135 investors.

Melaku Alebel, Minister of Industry said Monday that 94 investors have already registered to enter the BIAIP.

Of these investors, he said six have already started operations in the park, commissioned for processing of agro-value chains that include fruits and vegetables, dairy, honey and poultry.

The government has recently stepped up investments in Agro-industrial parks as per its plan to ensure economic transformation, officials said.

Melaku said that integrated agro industrial parks would have a significant contribution to foreign currency earnings by adding value to domestically produced products.
