The Holy Synod has decided to hold a peaceful demonstration on February 12, 2023 in the country and abroad.
The Holy synods said that the government is giving support to the invading groups that have set up to divide the Orthodox Tewahedo Church, and it is recalled that the Holy Synod ordered to spend the fasting period with all the Orthodox wearing black clothes and praying to God.
However, if the government does not give a practical response within 7 consecutive days, it has given instructions for peaceful demonstrations to be held starting from all the local churches and ending at the Mesqel square and/or the baptistery.
