Journalist Dawit, together with his colleagues, established and worked on a digital media called Arat Kilo Media.
His colleagues who were with him in Bahar Dar city Amhara region capital, who requested not to be mentioned for their safety, told us that the journalist was taken away by the security forces today, April 12,2023.
However, neither the Amhara region nor the federal government has yet said anything about the arrest of journalist Dawit.
National Defense Army Public Relations head, Colonel Getnat said that, his organization were not aware of the journalist’s arrest.
Journalist Dawit Beghashaw has served as a journalist in Ethiopian Television, Ethiopian Press Organization, EBS Television, Ethio FM 107.8 Radio, Al-AIN news and other media institutions.
