Ethiopia kicked out from 2023 African Cup of Nations

Qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations organized by Côte d’Ivoire are underway.

Ethiopian national team played a match against their Malawian counterpart as part of this qualifier.

This game ended in a 0-0 draw, and the Ethiopian national team has confirmed that they are out of the Cote d’Ivoire African Cup.

From this draw, Egypt have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, while Guinea finished second.

Wubetu Abate, who was the coach of the Ethiopian national team, was fired due to weak performance and lack of points.

Ethiopian national football federation announced earlier that has parted ways with its coach.

More than 15 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, have confirmed that they have qualified for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Egypt, Zambia, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Senegal, Algeria and Morocco are the main countries that secured their participation in the tournament.
