Ethiopia takes over a new modern ship from china

The new ship has the capacity to load more than 60 thousand tons

Ethiopian Maritime Transport and Logistics recently sold two ships named Bahr Dar and Hawasa for loss.

In exchange for the two ships that were sold, the state awned company announced that, had bought a new ship named Abay from China.

The new ship is ultra modern in the history of Ethiopian maritime transport in terms of size, and the company announced that the ship has been handed over to Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian maritime Transport and Logistics Organization started its operations with ships with a loading capacity of 3 thousand tons.

The new ship named Abay, which Ethiopia has taken over, has a loading capacity of 63, 229 tons.

The ship was built by China’s Yangzhou Dayang Ship Building and 200 meters long.

However, the organization did not mention how much money Ethiopia spent to buy the new ship.
