Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that he had a phone call and discussed with the President of Ukraine
Prime Minister Abiy said on his Twitter page, “Today we had a telephone conversation with President Zelensky on bilateral and international common issues, as well as ways to bring peace between Ukraine and Russia.”
Russia’s war in Ukraine, which began as a one-week special operation, has lasts more than 500 days.
Many African countries, including Ethiopia, repeatedly abstained from voting at the UN meeting called for Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine and to condemn the war.
Russia-Africa leaders summit will takes place next week in Petersburg.
According to Russia ministry of foreign minister, US and other Ukraine allies are influencing African leaders to not participate in the Russia-Africa summit.
