California Training Institute graduates 102 trainees

The California Training Institute successfully graduated 102 digital marketing trainees. Specializing in digital training, the institute provided short courses in various fields, including digital marketing, website development, coding, graphic design, and related skills.

During the graduation ceremony, Mr. Surafel Asefa, the institute’s manager, emphasized that individuals with basic computer knowledge and the ability to use social media can benefit from the training, regardless of their literacy level.

The training encompassed practical sessions lasting for a month and a half, offering students a comprehensive foundation.

The manager noted that over half of the graduates were men, marking the second round of successful graduations.

The newly graduated students are expected to actively engage in promoting and marketing products and services through digital channels such as the internet, mobile phones, social media platforms, webinars, search engine optimization, and other digital platforms.

When questioned about the institute’s name, Mr. Surafel explained that it was inspired by California, home to the world’s leading technology companies.

He emphasized that the institute aims to leverage this association to elevate the quality of its training programs.

Surafel expressed optimism about the potential of the digital marketing profession in Ethiopia, highlighting that it is still in its infancy. He affirmed that the California Training Institute is committed to contributing to the sector’s growth and development.

California Training Institute (CTI) is a digital skills training institute that supports Ethiopians to develop their digital skills through resources, tools, and technology.

In the broader context, Ethiopia is actively working on a five-year plan known as Digital Ethiopia, aimed at modernizing and digitizing services to enhance accessibility and efficiency. The implementation of this plan reflects the country’s commitment to embracing digital advancements in various sectors.
