1. Job Title: Senior Project Officer – Market and Context Monitoring
Location: Oromia (Addis Ababa), Amhara (Bahir Dar), Sidama & Southern Ethiopia (Hawassa)
Employment Term: Definite term, up to July 31, 2027
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- University degree in Project Management, Business Management, Development, Agriculture, Early Warning, Disaster Risk Reduction, or related fields.
- MSc degree holders: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- BSc/BA degree holders: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in data management, market assessment, food security, resilience, early warning systems, or Disaster Risk Reduction, preferably with progressive responsibilities in an international NGO.
- At least 1 year of experience in partnership activities and institutional strengthening, ideally with a religious partner.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of technical principles in market monitoring, early warning, food security, and humanitarian assistance.
- General knowledge of related disciplines to ensure a cross-sectoral approach.
- Experience in capacity strengthening, including training, mentoring, and developing training materials.
- Proficient in program monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based and civil society partners.
- Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, and data collection platforms.
- Strong English writing skills.

- BA/MA degree in International Relations, Economics, Management, Social Accountability, International Development, or a related field.
- BA degree holders: At least 5 years of relevant experience in project support with an NGO, ideally in accountability.
- MA degree holders: At least 3 years of relevant experience in project support with an NGO, ideally in accountability.
- Experience working with partners, participatory action planning, and community engagement.
- Demonstrated capacity in partnership capacity building at the community level and supporting community-led activities.
- Proficient in project monitoring and data collection.
- Strong skills in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, and information management systems.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and implementing accountability systems within an international NGO, preferably in an emergency context.
- Progressive experience in fields related to accountability, participatory action planning, and community engagement.
- Proven experience contributing to the development of technical proposals.
- Strong skills in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL).
- Proficient in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), data visualization tools, Web Conferencing Applications, and information management systems.
