1. Program Admin Assistant

  • Location: Dilla

Qualifications:

  • A college/university degree in Accounting, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience for diploma holders or 1 year for first-degree holders, with experience in program administration, procurement, financial management, or related areas.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate in the local language (Sidamigna) is essential.
  • Strong ethical values and professionalism.

2. DRM/NRM Specialist

  • Location: Semera

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rangeland Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Disaster Risk Management, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Natural Resources Management (NRM), Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM), dryland ecosystems, or pastoral livelihoods development.
  • Field experience in implementing activities in dryland areas is essential.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive fieldwork in remote locations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication and report writing skills in English.
  • Knowledge of PRM, participatory assessment, and planning tools for NRM and DRM.
  • Experience organizing community-based actions, meetings, and workshops.
  • Ability to communicate in the local language (Afar) is essential.

Competencies:

  • Respect, accountability, courage, excellence, adaptability, stress tolerance, innovation, partnership building, and strong leadership skills.

3. GPV/PSS Officer

  • Location: Borena

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Psychology, Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with a first degree or 2 years of experience with a postgraduate degree.
  • Proven experience in implementing or leading sexual and reproductive health or gender-focused projects in emergency settings.
  • Prior experience working with crisis-affected communities.
  • NGO experience in a humanitarian setting is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective communication and report writing abilities.
  • Sensitivity to gender equality, rural adolescent health, and social needs.
  • Ability to communicate in the local language (Oromifa) is essential.

Competencies:

  • Accountability, teamwork, courage, excellence, stress tolerance, partnership building, and operational decision-making skills.
