The companies marks a significant milestone in Ethiopia’s transportation landscape as international tech powerhouse Yango and leading local brand ShuuFare, a G2G IT Group company, officially unveil their groundbreaking ride-hailing service in Addis Ababa.

Yango, renowned for its cutting-edge technologies and global commitment to excellence in ride-hailing services, has partnered with ShuuFare, an innovative local IT company, to deliver an unprecedented transportation experience in Ethiopia.

Attendees had the opportunity to discover the unique features of the Yango mobile app, its user-friendly interface, and the convenient payment options available.

Yango’s mobile app, downloadable for free on both iOS and Android devices and available in multiple languages, including Amharic, empowers users to easily request a ride.

The intelligent geolocation feature seamlessly connects users with the nearest available driver. Initially operating as a cash-only service, Yango, in collaboration with ShuuFare, plans to integrate with popular local payment solutions such as Telebirr to support Ethiopia’s ongoing digitization efforts.

Yango’s ride-hailing service is already operational in numerous countries across Europe, Central Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Yango, in partnership with ShuuFare, expands its footprint to thirteen African countries, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Zambia, Angola, Congo Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Algeria, and Morocco.
