The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will summon the ambassador of Addis Ababa, later on Monday, to protest the killing of seven Sudanese soldiers and a civilian kidnapped by the Ethiopian side.

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said that it condemns, in the strongest terms, the heinous crime committed by the Ethiopian army, which violates the principles of international humanitarian law, by killing seven prisoners of Sudanese soldiers and a civilian after their kidnapping from inside Sudanese territory on June 22, 2022, and taking them into Ethiopian territory, killing them and mutilating their bodies. publicly,” according to the statement.

The statement stressed that the Sudanese Ministry has begun to file an official complaint with the Security Council and the relevant international and regional organizations.
Adding that the Sudanese government reserves the full right guaranteed by the Charter of the United Nations to defend its territory and human dignity.

And she added that she will immediately summon her ambassador to Ethiopia for consultations, and today the Ethiopian ambassador in Khartoum will be summoned to inform him of Sudan’s condemnation of this “inhumane” behavior.
There was no immediate comment from Addis Ababa on the accusations
