Ethiopia’s Federal Government and TPLF to discuss on Interim Government
Negotiations are going to be held between the federal government and TPLF regarding the Interim government to be established in Tigray region.
According to the peace agreement signed between the federal government and the TPLF, the TPLF has announced that it will negotiate with the federal government regarding the interim government to be established in the Tigray region.
For this, TPLF has established a provisional government organizing committee made up of military personnel, scholars, political parties and TPLF members.
The Committee leader, General Tadese Werede said that the establishment of the interim government is a step to protect the sovereignty of the Tigray region, to protect the peace of the region and the safety of the residents.
The general said that the formation of the interim government is a way to solve the internal political problems, and not only solve the problems of the people of Tigray region, but it will teach a great lesson as a country.
TPLF, which has been declared as a terrorist organization by the House of Representatives, should have its terrorism decree lifted before the establishment of an interim government.
The committee established by the TPLF was also questioned, and General Tadese said in his statement that the committee included all parties. So far, nothing has been heard from the federal government regarding the issue.
