10th Bego Sew Awards Nominees Announced

Twenty-seven nominees for the 10th Bego Sew Awards in nine categories have been announced on Thursday. Bego Sew Awards, founded by Deacon Daniel Kibret, annually recognize people who are role models and made greater contributions to Ethiopia and its citizens. This year’s shortlist has been cut from 30 to 27 after the Social Studies category was dropped. The organizing board of the annual Award made the decision after receiving insufficient submissions for award consideration in the category. ADDIS ABABA – The Telecom Service License issued to the Global Partnership for Ethiopia (GPE) won an award the World Bank group’s Partnerships Award 2022. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday in London, where the winners of 2021 and 2022 Awards were announced. The GPE emerged as winner in the “Best Utilities Project” Category. The Partnerships Awards are the industry’s biggest and most prestigious celebration of excellence in the industry.
