The United Nations Body charged with implementing a new carbon crediting mechanism under the Paris Agreement has expedited plans for action at their first meeting since COP28. The Somali region of Ethiopia is set to become home to a massive 300-megawatt wind power plant, with a projected cost of $600 million.
