Ambassador of Ethiopia to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, held discussions with Djama Ibrahim, General Manager of Doraleh Multi-Purpose Port, on ensuring sustainable and efficient transit logistics at the port. The discussion is a part of the periodic follow-ups and consultations between the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti and Doraleh Multi-Purpose Port. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two sides discussed the need to further enhance the mechanisms of exchanging vital information on export and import data. Djibouti’s Economic Growth to Slow Down to 3.5% in 2022  

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says Djibouti’s economic growth will slow from nearly 5 percent in 2021 to 3.5 percent in 2022 due to external shocks.    The IMF said this after its team, led by Brett Rayner, concluded a five-day-long visit to Djibouti on Thursday. In a statement today, the Fund says Djibouti’s economy rebounded from pandemic-related disruptions in 2021.
