Addis Ababa Police has announced that, it has taken action against institutions where homosexual activities are carried out in the city. The commission explained that, police shut down LGBT community centered hotels, bars and restaurants in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Culture and Tourism Office. According to police, cimes were committed in same-sex entertainment centers that deviated from the country's existing culture, tradition, lifestyle and religion. The police also announced that, they have received suggestions from the public about hotels, restaurants, pensions and similar entertainment facilities that carry out homosexual activities.
