Ethiopia draws more than $1 billion from industrial parks

The country earned $one billion from the products that were exported from the industrial parks. The Industrial Parks Development Corporation has announced that $1.1 billion has been obtained from the products sent to foreign countries from the industrial parks in Ethiopia in the last four years. In Adama Industrial Park, a factory that produces various plastic pipes with an annual income of $17 million has been completed and started working. Woda Metals Industry Plc, a major transmission tower and radio mast manufacturer in Ethiopia, is set to develop its factory in Sebeta town into an industrial park. On Wednesday, officials of the company signed an agreement with the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) on the expansion project that will transform the metal manufacturing plant to an industrial level. Ministry says over 40 investors to enter Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park

Ministry of Industry has disclosed on Monday that 42 businesses and private developers are going to enter the Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park (BIAIP). The firms have expressed their readiness to join the Park. The Park, sprawled over 271 hectares of land in Western Oromia, has been fully equipped with the necessary infrastructures and facilities to accommodate 135 investors.
