The 32nd Arab summit kicked off in the presence of leaders of Arab countries, including Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who was absent from the annual meeting for 12 years. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also arrived in Jeddah to participate in the summit without prior announcement, to attend a meeting that brings together all the leaders of Arab countries.
