Job Description
The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT), is a US based non-profit humanitarian organization working on torture rehabilitation throughout the world. In Ethiopia, CVT is works in partnership with RRS (Refugee and Returnee Service) and UNHCR targeting refugees and IDPs in Tigray and Gambella, training and supervising local Counsellors and providing trauma counselling interventions to the refugee populations since 2013. CVT is registered with the Agency for Civil Society Organization under registration number 3056 as a foreign organization.
CVT-Ethiopia seeks the services of a translator who is proficient both in Amharic and English to translate a mental health material. The material to be translated is in Amharic and is to be translated to English, and is a total of 50 to 90 pages in total on A4 paper
Job Requirements
Qualification
- Proven experience and evidence of translation work, both from English to Amharic and Amharic to English;
- At least an undergraduate qualification in Psychology;
- Willing to complete the work in one week.
- His/her own computer to process the translation work;
