Oromia Region president Shimeles Abdisa called for peace and reconciliation with OLF
The president made the call at the 4th regular meeting of the law makers meeting.
Mr. Shimels Abdisa presented the regional government’s performance report and said, “Peace is the basis for everything. Without peace, it is impossible to think about development.”
Mr. Shimels pointed out that the state government is working to ensure the peace of the state.
The president said that, “I respectfully call on the armed forces in our region, namely, the oromia libration front (OLF) Shene, to come to peaceful ways.”
Government is paying great attention to peace and is working to ensure that OLF Shene and similar armed forces take the right path,” he said.
Mr. Shimels, who expressed his gratitude to the security forces who are sacrificing their lives for peace in the region, said, “The work they did for the peace of the region will always be remembered in history.”
