Dozens of Ethiopia’s University teachers died in a traffic accident
The number of teachers who lost their lives has reached 20 in a traffic accident in western Ethiopia.
Mada Welabu university has announced that, the number of people who have died in a traffic accident has reached 20.
The tragic trafic accident was occurred this morning while they were traveling to Shashemene campus to teach students.
The number of people who lost their lives in this traffic accident caused by the vehicle carrying the teachers went off the road and entered the cliff.
Dr. Ibrahim Keleel, the president of Mada Welabu University, said that other people who survived the accident are being treated at Adaba, Dodola and Robe hospitals.
The teachers started the journey to teach distance and evening education students at the Shashemene campus.
The number of vehicles in Ethiopia is not more than one million and Ethiopia is one of the major countries in the world with the highest number of deaths by traffic accidents.
In the year of 2022 alone, more than 20 thousand road traffic accidents have occurred in Ethiopia and more than 6 thousand citizens have been lost their lives.
