Yemeni Foreign minister Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak is visiting Ethiopia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Awad arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit this morning

When the Minister of Foreign Affairs arrived at Bole International Airport, he was received by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Misganu Arega.

Dr. Ahmed is expected to discuss issues that will further strengthen the relationship between Ethiopia and Yemen with senior government officials.

Yemen has been in a civil war for more than 10 years and has been a victim of proxy war.

Iran and Saudi Arabia were the main participants in the war in Yemen, and more than 10 million Yemenis were affected in the war.

Saudi Arabia and Iran reached an agreement brokered by China, putting aside their differences.

The two countries agreed to open their embassies within two months.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh, and Iran has accepted the invitation.
