International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks to hire applicants for the following position
- Job Title: the Consultancy Contract of Assessing Internal Trafficking in Ethiopia under the Improving the Protection of Victims of Internal and Transnational Trafficking in Ethiopia Project.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Qualifications:
Experience (Company and Research Team):
– Minimum of seven years of extensive field research experience on migration and/or trafficking in Ethiopia.
– At least five years of experience working with UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, or international NGOs.
– Proven experience conducting large-scale research on migration, trafficking in persons, smuggling of migrants, modern slavery, domestic servitude, child trafficking, and exploitation.
– Experience deploying enumerators to various locations in Ethiopia to collect large-scale data from government offices, community members, individuals, and vulnerable groups.
– Hands-on experience designing mixed-method research frameworks, methodologies, plans, and data collection tools, including ethical protocols, quantitative, qualitative, and participatory methods.
– Proficiency in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using relevant statistical software.
– Ability to provide previous reports that demonstrate the ability to write for wide dissemination, including non-technical audiences, with action-oriented recommendations.
– Comprehensive understanding of internal trafficking, relevant legal instruments, policies, programs, and the domestic and transnational trafficking context in Ethiopia.
– Access to or availability of research resources and staff to ensure the capability to undertake the study.

– Technical proposal (not more than 15 pages) including:
– Company profile with recent experience on similar assignments.
– Description of the proposed approach, methodology (quantitative and qualitative), and an indicative work plan with key milestones and deliverables.
– Comments and suggestions on the Terms of Reference (if any).
– Financial proposal including all costs associated with the assignment in Ethiopian Birr, including relevant taxes.
– CVs of a minimum of three proposed researchers with signed letters of commitment to the research project.
– Samples of previously completed work on similar topics (at least two pieces).
– Contact information for previous clients to attest to the company’s expertise.
– Written testimonials or case studies showcasing successful projects and client satisfaction.
– Official consultancy license and tax registration documents.

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
– University degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics and Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or other related fields.
Work Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for degree holders, 1 year for postgraduates, and 5 years for diploma holders.
– Over 2 years of experience in WASH project implementation with knowledge of SPHERE standards and Project Cycle Management.
– Ability to work independently and in a multifaceted, cross-functional team.

– Experience in humanitarian settings (refugee camps, rural development, or emergency response).
– Proficiency in Windows, MS Office programs, email, and database tools.
Language Skills:
– Proficient in English writing and speaking.
– Ability to speak the local language is an advantage.
