Job Description
Boston Partners PLC/ Kuriftu Resorts/ would like to invite a qualified candidate for the Architect vacant position.
POSITION SUMMARY
Architects plan, develop and implement building designs. He/she compile feasibility reports, determine environmental impact, create project proposals, estimate costs, determine timelines and oversee construction processes.
Job Role
- Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project
- Produce detailed working drawings and make any necessary corrections
- Compile project specifications
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
- Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements and budget of a project, and in some cases help to select a site
- Assess the impact on the local environment
- Use IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software
- Keep within financial budgets and deadlines
- Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications
- Specify the nature and quality of materials required
- Negotiate with contractors and other professionals\
- Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
- Prepare applications for planning and building control departments
- Project manage and help to coordinate the work of contractors
- Control a project from start to finish
- Carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget
- Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction
- Ensure that the environmental impact of the project is managed. Etc.
Job Requirements
Qualification
- Proven working experience as an Architect
- Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3d Studio or similar)
- Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
- Visual awareness and an eye for detail
- Communication and project management skills
- BS degree in Architecture or other related filed
