Ethiopia’s Media freedom is “under serious attack”- Survey

According to a survey by amnesty international and southern African Media institute, 29 journalists were arrested in Ethiopia in 2022. The two institutions announced that, the freedom of the press has faced a "serious attack" in Ethiopia. In East and Southern African countries where authorities want to suppress press freedom. Journalist Dawit Begashaw was arrested

Addis Ababa, ET, 14 February 2023:- Journalist Teodoros Asfaw arrested by Federal Police Journalist and political analyst Teodoros Asfaw was taken away by government security forces today, his brother Biniam Asfaw told Ethio Negari. Binyam stated that Theodore was taken from his home in Tuludimtu area around 2 o'clock today by four two federal police uniformed security forces. He also announced that he was taken to the Criminal Investigation Office of the Federal Police in Mexico.
