Former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn appointed by Tanzanian government.

Former Ethiopian Prime Minister Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn has announced his appointment as a member of the “Tanzania Presidential Food and Agriculture Supply Council”.

Mr. Hailemariam was appointed as a member of the Council by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu.

Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn expressed on his Twitter page that he was honored to be appointed as a member of the Council by President Samia Suluhu.

Ethiopia’s former PM pointed out that Tanzania has a great potential to market its agricultural products and transform small farming.

President Salulu established the council to implement the decision of the African Union leaders’ Conference on African Food Production held in Dakar, Senegal last January, to establish a council to lead the implementation of strategies for each country to expand agriculture and increase food supply.

After Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn voluntarily resigned as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, he founded the “Hailemariam and Roman Foundation” with his wife, former first lady Roman Tesfaye, and is working as a leader in various institutions in Africa.
