Ethiopia's foreign debt reaches $28 billion. The Ministry of Finance has announced that, the amount of debt that Ethiopia borrowed from foreign lenders has reached 28 billion dollar. According to the minister's report, 54 percent of Ethiopia's foreign debt of 28 billion dollars was obtained from the World Bank and African Development Bank. 46 percent of total debt was obtained from China and other countries. ADDIS ABABA – The government of Japan and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have announced a $5 billion financial cooperation to provide support for the private sector in Africa. The announcement was made at the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8) held Sunday in the Tunisian capital, Tunis. African Development Bank Tops Global Aid Transparency Index Rank

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has been named the most transparent organization in the world by the Publish What You Fund (PWYF), a global campaign for aid and development transparency. With a top score of 98.5, AfDB’s Sovereign Portfolio now ranks first out of 50 global development institutions in the 2022 Aid Transparency Index published on Wednesday.
