Ethiopia wins gold and silver medals in women’s marathon

Athlete Amane Beriso and Gotytom Gebreslase earned gold and silver medals for Ethiopia in the women’s marathon world championship.

The 19th World Athletics Championships, which are being hosted by Budapest, the capital of Hungary, are on its seventh day.

In today’s women’s marathon, Ethiopia’s Aman Beriso and Gotytom Gebreslase won gold and silver medals

The Moroccan athlete Fatma Gardadi finished the race in 3rd place.

There are remaining competitions where Ethiopia can win more medals, and currently, it ranks fourth in the world with eight medals, including two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

As of today, the USA with eight gold medals, Spain with four gold medals and Jamaica with three gold medals are ranked from first to third.

Ethiopia will participate in the men’s marathon, and women’s and men’s 5,000m races today and tomorrow and is expected to win more medals.

The 19th World Athletics Championships will end tomorrow night, and China, Kenya, Brazil and other countries that have won medals in the past are not looking forward to winning this year.
