Addis Ababa University won nine of the seventeen researches and educational excellence centers projects supported by the European Union. In addition, the results of two project proposals will be known in the next few months. In Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2022, ARUA and Guild university presidents met and decided to establish research and education excellence centers supported by the European Union. Out of the total federal government budget of 801 billion birr for the 2016 fiscal year, 50 billion birr has been allocated to the Ministry of Defense, and 20 billion birr has been earmarked for the restoration of institutions and services destroyed in the war in northern Ethiopia. ThinkYoung and Boeing announce that applications are now open for the 20th edition of the ThinkYoung Coding School, which will be held for the second time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 50 Ethiopian professionals engaged in construction work are under additional training at the German culture and language Institute in Addis Ababa before heading to Germany. South Korea grants $10 million to modernize Ethiopia’s agriculture

Ethiopia and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed a 10 million dollar aid agreement in Addis Ababa. The financial assistance agreement was signed by the Minister of State for Finance, Sumerita Sewasew, and the head of KOICA in Ethiopia, Lee Byunghwa. The financial support is to be used to modernize Ethiopian agriculture, especially to increase the productivity of milk and milk products.
